Side businesses
Finally, a day off. Only, I always get Fridays off because I work the Asian markets, which are Sunday through Thursday nights in the US.
Usually, the first thing I do on my day off is to go play racquetball. Not only for the exercise, but for the thrill of competition. I love to whack the ball and make the other guy miss. I sweat like crazy. I couldn't get that much exercise by myself, competition brings out my energy, I want to keep going even if I get tired. I turn three clean dry shirts into soaking wet towels.
After cleaning up and getting home today, I watched the History Channel on TV. Its the 4th of July and there was a great program on the Revolutionary War. I couldn't help but feel George Washington was such a great man. Through such difficulties and challenges he helped bring forth this nation. After he defeated Cornwallis at Yorktown, he even lost his son who served in the Continental Army. He went from defeating the British, the greatest power in the world at that time, to building a new nation, a democracy no less. He refused the chance to be king of the new nation, but rather its first president and gave up the power after his second term. All of our founding fathers are so impressive.
My regular work is for the investment company. But my websites are my side business. Today, I worked on my friend Jason's website called "Jace's Macabre Box of Short Stories". Jason has written a real book, and he will have it published. I have been helping him and built a website at MacabreBox.com where people can buy his book once its published. I love the cover for it already.
See right --->
On top of that I also worked on my other website, FindEnglishTeacher.com. This website is for helping people learn English, find teachers, friends or English speaking jobs. I keep adding more and trying to improve my websites all the time, it gives me a sense of pride. There is nothing like making something, something from your own heart and mind to make you feel that way.
I think until now, everyone had to search around on my websites to find out what's new . As of now, you can always go to GetPowers.com and see what's new under the Recent Posts. Additionally, I have set up a newsletter so you can get updates on whatever I write about in a timely way. Just enter your address to get the GetPowers newsletter.
