Busy, busy, busy~!

One thing I have realized is that there is not time enough in the day, let alone a lifetime to do all the things you want to do. You have to focus on the essential things. I spend most of my time either working, helping to take care of you, building my website “empire”, and core life stuff like eating and sleeping. Actually, sometimes eating and sleeping still take a backseat to other things. I remember the first few weeks after you were born, you had your own hours and didn’t care if it was morning, noon, or 3 am. If you wanted to eat, we had to wake up and take care of you. It was funny, because when you were first born you didn’t make much of a sound, but once you found your voice, wow, you could really yell! Then we would wake up and feed you, change your diapers, or what I called “Walking Around”. Walking Around just meant I would carry you until you felt better and ready to sleep again. I would sing songs that I knew, but I had to relearn some others. You liked “Mary had a Little Lamb”, “Twinkle Twinkle Little Star”, and your favorite at first was “Old MacDonald had a Farm”. You would laugh as I sang “Here a Moo, there a moo, everywhere a Moo Moo!”. I tried to sing you the ABC song as much as possible because I felt if that stayed in your head, it would help you in the long run.

I think it was about a month or so before you first smiled. You really started to have a personality. Even better, you soon started giggling. You want to know the best sound in the whole wide world? Its the sound of your son laughing! Yeah, when you laughed, it sounded so wonderful. Its interesting, because we couldn’t communicate with words, but we could play and sing and jump and clap our hands, and you would giggle. I had to record that sound because I always want to remember it.
